Terms of Service
zipBuilder & My Home - beta
Beta draft (v0.1, July 2026) - for attorney review before public launch.
1. The service
zipBuilder connects homeowners describing home projects with licensed local contractors who respond with quotes ("Leads"). My Home provides homeowners a private record of their property's systems, service history, documents and reminders.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for your account credentials and for the accuracy of information you submit. One person per account. We may suspend accounts used for spam, fraud, or abuse.
3. Homeowner leads & consent to contact
When you submit a project request, you consent to zipBuilder sharing your project details with up to four matched contractors, and - after you or the contractor accept the match - to those contractors contacting you by phone, email, or text about your project, including via automated means. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can revoke consent by contacting us or replying STOP to texts.
4. Contractors
Contractors represent that licenses and insurance they list are accurate and current. Lead fees, once introduced, are due as invoiced. Leads are provided as-is; zipBuilder does not guarantee project award or homeowner response.
5. No warranty; limitation of liability
zipBuilder is a matching and record-keeping platform, not a contractor, and does not perform, supervise, or guarantee any work. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to amounts you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of documents and records you upload. You grant us the license needed to store, display, and process them to operate the service. See the Privacy Policy for how records are used.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after changes is acceptance.
